Graphics Card Help How Do You Know If A Graphics Card Is Going To Be Compatible With Your Computer?

How do you know if a graphics card is going to be compatible with your computer? - graphics card help

Ok, so I try to buy a new graphics card for my computer, mainly because I will be a new one, is compatible with the Sims 2 (my current graphics card is not supported.) And I need to know:
A. Must know how to tell whether a graphics card with my computer is compatible.
B. What graphics card (I did a GeForce FX5200 in my PC Web site of stores in the past two days, and is not supported) is a card of support, would be good to play Sims 2.
Ok, so we need to know something ...

Whether you need help, I have a PowerSpec 8921 (I was like a gift from my father, so do not buy it.)
I know enough about my computer, but something like a graphics card is a bit new to me, but I'm learning.

I learned there is a 4x AGP slot open. So you must go to the store and ask for a version of the GeForce FX5200 card that supports AGP 4x. Most AGP 8x cards are today, but likely to be compatible with 4x.

Good luck;)

PowerSpec 8921 PC brand. Everything you need to do is the manual for your motherboard or opening the packaging carefully to find the model number to find the motherboard .. (most of the paper) on the motherboard. then.

If u have a manual, check the information on the Internet or check with the MB model number and find the motherboard CID

+ + + + Check whether accsess AGP speed (4x, 8x ,...)++++

(Some may chaneg MB AGP speed in BIOS)

Now you can change your VGA card.
(VGA card AGP Speed shuld not Exseed MB AGP speed):)

We hope you Solwara your Problome.
Good luck ...

Finf selected this option if you have an AGP, PCI or PCIe.

The first option is PCIe, second in the AGP, PCI is the last.

When checked AGP AGP speed.

Otherwise, check the power supply.

Now, compare these 2 elements that need Card specifications.
